This Privacy Policy explains how ShredLynx ("ShredLynx", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use the website and platform at shredlynx.com. We are committed to handling your data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who is responsible

2. What data we collect

Account data you provide: name/profile name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), and any profile details, photos, or videos you upload.
Social login data: if you sign in with Facebook, Google, Twitter, or Instagram, we receive — only with your authorization — your name, email address, public profile, and profile picture from that provider. We do not receive your social media password.
Usage data: basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used to operate and secure the service.

3. How we use your data

To create and operate your rider, brand, event, location, or media profile.
To enable connections, groups, events, and media sharing within the action-sports community.
To authenticate you and keep the platform secure.
To communicate with you about your account.

4. Legal basis (GDPR)

We process your data on the basis of your consent (e.g. social login), to perform our contract with you (providing the platform), and our legitimate interest in operating and securing the service.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the platform (e.g. our EU-based hosting provider) and with the social platforms you choose to connect. Providers act on our instructions and under data-processing agreements.

6. Cookies and sessions

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you logged in and protect against cross-site request forgery. We do not require advertising cookies to provide the service.

7. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data (see Section 9), except where we must retain limited information to meet legal obligations.

9. Deleting your data

You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time. See our Data Deletion instructions. Data obtained via Facebook or other social login is deleted together with your account.

10. Children

ShredLynx is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
